7 July 2005
Casting Couch Productions website visitors,
Yours truly has a television appearance coming up. A different sort of gig this time. I am appearing on "Who Wants to be a Millionaire". It will be broadcast on Channel Nine on Monday 18 July.
I am announcing this now, because if I completely make an idiot of myself, then it will be too late to try to keep it a secret & in two weeks, you can have a laugh @ my expense. Please bear in mind that I am legally obliged to NOT discuss the show until after it has been broadcast. So as much as I hate to say it, please refrain from asking me about it. If you spot me shopping for luxury cars & such forth, I can assure you it is mere coincidence.
The most likely scenario, of course, is that I will be one of the 8 or 9 people each week whose only claim to fame is a goofy looking wave to the camera @ the start of the show.

Regards, Greg Eccleston, Artistic Director

Casting Couch Productions is proud to have entertained people with our latest show “Lovepuke”, which closed on Saturday night. A total of 470 people saw one of the twelve performances (four of which were SOLD OUT) over the past three weeks, which is a *new record* for Casting Couch Productions.

Congratulations to the cast Kaitlyn Cox | Liz Hanich | Henry Hereford | Renee Lim | Ben Maclaine | John Marsh | Stella Rankin | Matt Todd -- & also Eliza Maunsell & Jason Dean, without either of whom the show could not have happened.

What made our achievement more remarkable is that this show was put together in such a short amount of time. Exactly two months ago today, the spot was made available to me @ TAP Gallery & I accepted without having either a script or a cast ready -- it seemed like a good idea @ the time. As it happened, it was a great idea! The past eight weeks have certainly been a whirlwind.

Thank you for supporting Casting Couch Productions. The Company exists in order to provide opportunities for committed and enthusiastic actors to work on stage in Sydney and for Australasian playwrights to have their work performed. And to entertain you. That’s all.

Regards, Greg Eccleston, Artistic Director

Casting Couch Productions

ESTABLISHED 2000

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Jacqueline Archer, Greg Eccleston, Kyri Frame, Sean Genders, Josie Perricone & John Webb founded Casting Couch Productions in August 2000.
Their first production was John Patrick Shanley’s "The Big Funk" @ TAP Gallery in September / October 2000, featuring all founding members, with the exception of Greg. “Lovepuke” by Duncan Sarkies in April 2001 was the Company’s second production & whilst featuring just one original cast member, the Casting Couch Productions banner survived (we like the name).
"IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER", a collection of five new short plays by Paul Osuch, was the Company’s third production, in April 2002. Our next production was "Catharsis" in June 2003. "Catharsis" was the dιbut play by Greg Eccleston & was our second consecutive World Premiθre.
“Lovepuke” returned in 2004 as our fifth production & maintained our average of one show per year!
“Girlfriend #33 Stole My Mojo”, the second play by Greg Eccleston, premiθred in March 2006 as our sixth production & our first @ the world-famous The Imperial Hotel.
Casting Couch Productions exists in order to provide opportunities for committed & enthusiastic actors to work on stage in Sydney & for Australasian playwrights to have their work performed. And to entertain you. That’s all.
